Interior Decor: Blue and Orange Eclectic

I have been helping a friend with the interior decor of her beautiful new home. She has some great, unique kitchen dining chairs, a white bamboo style that look similar to the one above from Ballard Designs. They are in need of a new coat of paint and some great fabric to reupholster the seats. She loves her amber colored glass collection in the kitchen, along with some colorful vases. The dining table is in a nook in between the kitchen and the family room where she wants to bring out some navy blue that she likes. Her style is eclectic.
Being between the two spaces, I thought it might be nice to try to bring both the colors in to make the spaces flow into one another. Here is what I came up with so far:
